Patrick & Jenna
I’ve been fortunate enough to witness hundreds of weddings over the past twenty years . But there is NOTHING better than watching two people you know and love come together. Patrick and I worked together in Los Angeles in the television industry and we became fast friends. I moved north to pursue my wedding photography business, and he has become an incredible photojournalist himself. When I met Jenna I loved her from the start and I knew when they decided to get married it would be an epic teaming. They tied the knot at Catalina View Gardens, a winery in Rancho Palos Verdes on a hill overlooking the ocean. This was such a great fit because they both love nature – especially the coast, and it was right down the street from where they call home. Everything about the day felt just like them. From the intimate ceremony with family and a few friends, to the epic toasts that had me laughing through tears: it was exactly how a wedding should feel. All the little touches were perfect but nothing compared to the popping dance party before we left for dinner. Proof you don’t need a big guest list to throw down. And dinner at Gabi James in Redondo Beach felt all the more intimate because of the laughter and love that filled the room. The fact that they could stumble back to their house after such a wonderful evening was just another touch that reminded me that weddings can be anything you want them to be – and they are just the best when they are totally you. I feel so lucky to have been a part of this small vineyard wedding, and to have been able to capture the moments that meant the most to my friends. The wedding may have been intimate, but the love and joy everyone brought made this party a huge success.
