Leslie and Damon

September 10, 2008

On Sunday I met Leslie and Damon in San Marino at the Huntington Library Gardens to shoot their engagement photos. It was nearly 100 degrees that day but we still managed to overcome and get some great shots. Not only do the gardens always prove to be a great spot for photos but Leslie and Damon were so comfortable in front of the camera… what a bonus! They were so sweet with each other and constantly cracking up… they were just too cute. Afterwards we headed over to Old Town Pasadena for some urban flair. I love all the fun alley ways and brick walls you can discover here. We took advantage and wrapped up the day with one of my favorite long exposure shots. What a fun day! I’m looking forward to seeing Leslie and Damon again in November for their wedding.

Amy and Ryan in Santa Barbara

September 10, 2008

On Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting Amy, Ryan and their super fun family and friends in Santa Barbara at the Doubletree to photograph their wedding. The wedding was intimate with only their closest friends and family, many of whom flew in from New York. The ceremony was held right on the beach and couldn’t have been more picturesque with the white sand, blue sky and stunning couple. The ceremony was one of the sweetest I’ve seen. It was full of laughter and tears and more laughter. I thought it was so touching that Amy and Ryan each wrote letters to one another to be read during the ceremony. Afterwards we headed to the reception. And don’t let the intimacy of this wedding fool you… this crowd knows how to throw down, and that they did. I’m telling you, I was impressed. There were a few party machines there… non stop I tell you. I had such a great time! Congratulations you two!
